Some of the probing solutions I have developed for use in my own lab:

Disposable Near Field Probe

Low cost partially shielded 5.0 mm x 7.0 mm NF probe with 3 mm sensing trace.
The probe can be mounted on your PCB or ICs with double sided tape for EMC/ESD troubleshooting or IC signature measurement.

The probe kit contains 8 disposable NF probes. Two short 100 mm cables with SMA female connectors are included in the kit.

Disposable X-Y Near Field Probe

Low cost 2 channel (X-Y) partially shielded 15.0 mm x 15.0 mm NF probe with 13.2 mm sensing traces.
The probe can be mounted on your PCB or on ICs with double sided tape for EMC/ESD troubleshooting or IC signature measurement.

The probe kit contains two X-Y NF probes. Four short 100 mm cables with SMA female connectors are included in the kit.

Disposable 1.5 GHz Passive 500 ohm Probe

Low cost 6.5 mm x 14.0 mm passive probe for oscilloscopes with 50 ohm inputs.
The probe can be mounted on your PCB with double sided tape.

Maximum probe voltage rating: 5V RMS, 15V Peak.

The probe kit contains 4 probes. Two short 100 mm cables with SMA female connectors are included in the kit.

Amplitude frequency response (typical) for the 1.5GHz passive 500 ohm probe.
The attenuation is a little more than the 20:1 probe attenuation because the 25 ohm source is loaded with the 500ohm probe.

Example: Probing a 1.0 Vpp 500MHz clock signal (CG635) with the 1.5GHz 20:1 probe and a 4 GHz RTO1044 oscilloscope. The white trace is the signal from the CG635 and the yellow trace is the signal from the probe. Mini circuits hand-flex cables are used in both cases.


Disposable 4 Channel 1.5 GHz Passive 1k ohm Probe

Low cost 21.74 mm x 14.0 mm quad channel passive probe for oscilloscopes with 50 ohm inputs.
The probe can be mounted on your PCB with double sided tape.

Maximum probe voltage rating: 5V RMS, 15V Peak.

The probe kit contains 1 four channel probe. Four short 100 mm cables with SMA female connectors are included in the kit.
